Children whose parents are employed or retired members of the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces performed last night at the House of Army at the traditional concert ''Оur Children'', accompanied by the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense ''Stanislav Binicki''. Ana Stanic, opera singer Oliver Njego and this year’s representatives of the Republic of Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo ''My 3'', consisting of Sara Jovanovic, Mirna Radulovic and Nevena Bozovic supported the young talents.
The concert was attended by Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubisa Dikovic with members of the Collegium, members of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces, figures of the public and cultural life of the capital and, of course, the parents and relatives of the children who participated in the program.
After the introductory instrumentals of the Art Ensemble ''Stanislav Binicki'' and Percy Faith’s song ''Rhythm of the Rain'', the honor of opening this musical event was given to Marija Vjestic. She has already won awards at national and international festivals, and tonight she sang the legendary composition ''Wine and Guitars''.
Piano duo by Jelena Stevanovic (16) and Nevena Uletilovic (17), accompanied by the orchestra, performed Piazzolla’s composition ''Tango Paris''.
Milica Zugic is 18 years old and she is the concert master of the Philharmonic Youth. Tonight she performed Mendelssohn’s violin concerto for the guests at the House of Army.
Tijana Radovic (17), who said that her occupation would be music, performed Mozart’s Andante C major for flute accompanied by symphony orchestra.
Ten year old Marko Velickovic from Novi Beograd is a second year piano student at music school ''Stanislav Binicki'' and he has already won awards. He says piano is his favorite thing, after Messi. Tonight he played composition ''Phantom Rider''.
Ana Stanic was the first guest at this year’s concert ''Our Children''. Accompanied by the orchestra ''Stanislav Binicki'' and cheering audience she sang ''Can’t Take My Eyes''.
Anastasija Zogovic and Andjelija Momcilovic, who were among the youngest participants in the concert, also performed at this event, after which a celebrated opera doyen Oliver Njego performed ''Adagio'' by Dragan Stojnic.
After him, sisters Nevena and Jovana Milovanovic from Krusevac, Jelena Selenic from Belgrade and young pianists Ksenija Komazec and Magdalena Neskovic completely took over the stage.
Una Ganic (10) performed Giuliani’s ''Maestozo for Guitar'' and after that Anja Risimic (12) demonstrated her guitar skills by playing composition ''Capriccio Guitar''.
Five year old Milica Miletic is the youngest participant in this year’s concert. Tonight she sang ''Kako deca rastu'' (How Children Grow) under the watchful eye of her mother, who plays the violin in the orchestra ''Stanislav Binicki''.
Nine year old Masa Vukovic from Kraljevo performed ''Spokojno spavaj'' (Sleep Peacefully|) accompanied by the musical ensemble. Sanja Vasiljkovic presented herself with playing ''The French Song'' on piano, Nikoleta Glusevic played ''Romance'' on the violin and Jovana Mrdak from Belgrade made this even more special by performing Jelena Tomasevic’s song ''Okeani'' (Oceans). Tonight she opted for singing, apart from all talents she has.
After Natasa Arandjelovic warmed up the audience with her great vocal abilities, it was time for Sara, Mirna and Nevena to perform. ''My 3'' performed the song ''Ajde Jano, mori'', thanking the organizers of the concert for the opportunity to be surrounded by great and talented young performers, in whose show they enjoyed tonight.
Marija Colovic (14) from Kraljevo closed the concert with ''Dunavski talasi'' (Danube Waves), accompanied by the symphony orchestra ''Stanislav Binicki'' under the baton of maestro Pavle Medakovic.
At the end of the concert, all the participants were given gifts provided by the Telekom Serbia.
