The Visit of the Security Services Control Committee’s Delegation to the Military Intelligence Agency

Belgrade, June 26, 2013 – Representatives of the Security Services Control Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia visited today the Military Intelligence Agency (MIA) of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.
The exhibition on the history of the military intelligence service in Serbia since 1884 was first presented to the delegation of the Committee, led by its President Jadranka Joksimovic.
After becoming familiar with the past and tradition of the Agency, the delegation was informed by leaders of the MIA, headed by its Director Brigadier General Dragan Vladisavljevic, on the key elements of the operating of the Agency, i.e. the place of the MIA in the security and intelligence system of the Republic of Serbia, its legal framework, oversight and control, competencies, functions, mission, as well as the organizational structure of the Agency.
Apart from President of the Committee Jadranka Joksimovic, members of the Committee Nenad Popovic and Igor Becic, deputy members of the Committee Miroljub Stojcic, Mirna Kosanovic and Jozef Sandor, as well as Independent Adviser in the Committee Gorica Durkalic and Secretary of the Committee Katarina Terzic also visited the MIA.
