Situation Center ( SC ) is a part of MIA established according to the modern principles and in line with standards of contemporary intelligence systems. Its basic function is continious monitoring and protection of information on activities of foreign military and non-military factor, military and political events, occurences and processes in neighbouring contries, region and in the world, terrorist activities (at global and regional level) as well as on the other activities that can influence the security of the Republic of Serbia.
All pieces of information which MIA receives flow into the Center 24 hours a day. Continuous monitoring and input of changes in situation in the zone of responsibility enables quick recognizing of the situation, making conclusions and estimations. The use of specialized softtware for analysis and estimation allows very quick and high quality processing of all intelligence information as well as timely information delivery to the users.
