Today, in the Small War Room of the former General Stuff, the Minister of Defense Mr. Aleksandar Vulin met with the Military Intelligence Agency officers, who will be admitted to the duty of defense attaché or deputy attaché of the Republic of Serbia abroad in the forthcoming period.
Minister Vulin familiarized the officers going on a diplomatic mission with the basic principles of the Republic of Serbia foreign policy and main tasks within bilateral military cooperation with countries of their responsibility. Foreign policy of the Republic of Serbia, military neutrality and national interests are the framework for work and engagement of the Defense Attachés. Their task is also support to diplomatic efforts of the state leadership, diplomatic representatives and the President and Supreme Commander Mr. Aleksandar Vučić in further building and enhancing the international reputation of the Republic of Serbia, as well to develop a cooperation with the countries in which they will perform their duties.
Special task and responsibility of our military diplomats is dignified representation of the Republic of Serbia and Serbian Armed Forces, developing a versatile and richer military cooperation and promoting the achievements of the Serbian defense industry.
The Chief of the General Staff General Milan Mojsilović also received the newly appointed attachés and deputy attachés.
The director of the Military Intelligence Agency Brigadier General Zoran Stojković also attended the meetings of the Minister of Defense and the Chief of General Staff with the newly appointed defense attachés and deputy attachés.
